Khaedin

The right-hand pages are his. Khaedin was born aboard the voyage, second generation, and thinks in decks and cycles and the steady hum of recycled air. He has never felt rain, or wind, or a horizon that curves the way a real one should. He is an engineer who certifies the hatches that pilots fly through, quietly wishing he were the one doing the flying, bound for a world he has only ever been told about and is not always sure he believes in.
